This policy explains what personal data Planet Australia Oceania collects through this website, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what rights you have over it. It applies to this website only.
Who we are
Planet Australia Oceania Pty Ltd is a destination management company registered in Australia, at Suite 4, 23 Belgrave Street, Manly NSW 2095. We are the data controller for the information described here.

What we collect, and why
We only collect what you send us. We do not buy contact lists and we do not track visitors across other websites.

The enquiry form
When you submit a brief, the form sends the details you entered to our reservations mailbox by email. We use them to answer you and, if the enquiry becomes a booking, to build and operate the trip. We do not use them for marketing unless you ask us to.
The form includes a hidden field that people never see and automated scripts usually fill in. Submissions with that field completed are discarded. This is spam protection, not tracking.
Cookies
The site sets no cookies until you choose. When you first visit, a banner offers you the choice.
If you accept
We load Google Analytics 4, which sets cookies to count visits and see which pages are read. IP addresses are anonymised. We never see your name or email through analytics, and the data is not used to identify you.
If you decline
Nothing loads and no cookies are set. Your choice is stored in your browser so we do not ask again. You can change your mind at any time through the Cookie settings link in the footer.
Who else sees your data
To answer a brief we normally have to approach suppliers, so hotels, transport companies and activity operators in the destination may receive the details needed to hold a service, typically the traveller names and dates. Nothing beyond what the booking requires is shared.
We also use service providers who process data on our behalf: our web host, our email provider, our reservations system and, with your consent, Google Analytics. We do not sell personal data to anyone, ever.
International transfers
We are based in Australia, so data you send us is processed outside the European Economic Area. Where we transfer personal data from the EEA or the United Kingdom, we rely on the appropriate safeguards permitted under the GDPR, including standard contractual clauses with our providers.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become bookings: up to three years from the last contact, in case you come back to us.
- Booking files: seven years after travel, as required by Australian tax and accounting rules.
- Analytics data: fourteen months.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or send it to you in a portable format. You can also object to processing based on legitimate interest, and withdraw consent for cookies at any time.
Write to hello@planetaustraliaoceania.com and we will respond within one month. If you are in the EU or the UK and you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to your national data protection authority. In Australia, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Access to our mailboxes and reservations system is restricted to the consultants who need it, and protected by individual accounts. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your clients' details with the same care we expect from our own suppliers.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal data we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes affecting existing enquiries will be notified by email.
Note for Planet Australia Oceania: this is a working draft written to match how the site actually behaves. Before publishing, have it checked by someone qualified in Australian privacy law and, because you deal with French agencies, in the GDPR. Confirm the retention periods against your accountant's advice, and delete this box.
